Does GlyphRain work on my device?
GlyphRain runs on iPhone with iOS 26.0 or later, iPad with iPadOS 26.0 or later, and Mac with macOS 15.0 or later. Reality backgrounds need a camera.
How does camera access work?
Camera access is requested when you choose a Reality background (Clear Reality or Blurred Reality). The Reality background uses your device’s camera to show a live image behind the glyphs, and GlyphRain has no feature that records, saves, or shares it. Set the Reality background to Off to stop using the camera.
What about privacy?
GlyphRain has no accounts and no developer-integrated analytics or tracking, and the developer does not collect data through the app. Its core features are designed to work without an internet connection, and settings are stored on your device, not synced through iCloud. Can I customize the colors and effects?
Yes! GlyphRain offers extensive customization including speed, density, blur intensity, and more. Save your favorite configurations as presets for quick access.
Is there a subscription?

How do I get help?

If a Reality background shows nothing, turn on camera access in Settings → GlyphRain → Camera (on Mac: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera).
